**Traffic Disrupted After Tomato-Laden Truck Overturns on NH-30 in Maihar**
**MAIHAR** – A high-speed road accident on National Highway-30 in the Amarpatan area left a truck overturned and scattered a massive cargo of tomatoes across the road on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred near the Parswahi Nursery when the truck, traveling from Nashik, Maharashtra, to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, veered out of control. According to local authorities, the driver, identified as Arbaz Ahmed, was forced to swerve abruptly after a stray animal darted into the path of the vehicle.
The emergency maneuver caused the heavy vehicle to lose stability and flip, trapping Ahmed inside the crushed cabin.
Local residents were the first to arrive at the scene, attempting to assist the trapped driver before the arrival of the Dial-112 emergency response team. Authorities successfully extricated Ahmed from the wreckage and transported him to a nearby hospital. Truck owner Adnan Ahmed confirmed that the driver sustained only minor injuries and was discharged following medical treatment.
The accident site briefly turned into a scene of chaos as passersby and nearby villagers gathered to salvage the spilled tomatoes. Order was restored once the Dial-112 team secured the perimeter and cleared the onlookers.
The crash caused temporary traffic congestion on the busy highway, affecting commuters for several hours. The Amarpatan police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
Authorities have once again highlighted the recurring danger posed by stray cattle on national highways, a persistent safety concern for motorists traveling through the region.
