**UMARIA:** A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy in the Umaria district on Wednesday morning, sparking local outrage and an immediate police investigation.
The incident occurred near the Chilhari bus stand, located under the jurisdiction of the Amarpur police outpost in the Indwar area. The victim, identified as Manjeet Kol, was the younger son of local resident Ramlal Kol.
According to preliminary reports, the young boy was cycling to his family’s farm when he was struck by a speeding truck near the bus stand. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in critical head injuries that proved fatal; the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
