BJP Youth Wing Chief Targets Congress Over Alleged Insult to Folk Deity
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state president Shankar Gora launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a youth convention in Sikar, demanding an unconditional apology from Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra for allegedly insulting the revered folk deity Tejaji Maharaj. Addressing the gathering, Gora accused Congress leadership of making irresponsible statements and reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to youth empowerment through strategic electoral representation.
Focus on Youth Representation and Governance
Gora highlighted the BJP’s proactive approach to political inclusion, noting that the party allocated 30 to 40 percent of its tickets to young candidates in the recent civic body elections. He further stated that this strategy would be extended to the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections, with a significant emphasis on fielding more youth and women candidates.
Contrasting the current administration with the previous Congress government, which he labeled as a regime defined by internal factionalism and political isolation, Gora praised the Bhajanlal Sharma-led government for its administrative reforms. Key achievements cited include:
- Successful implementation of a recruitment calendar, facilitating 410 examinations without reports of paper leaks.
- Introduction of entrepreneurship support, offering easy access to loans of up to Rs 10 lakh to foster self-employment among the youth.
- A systematic expansion of job opportunities across the state.
Mobilization Ahead of Civic Elections
The BJYM state president confirmed that the party is currently conducting a series of youth conventions across Rajasthan. These outreach programs are designed to educate voters about the benefits of the double-engine government and its youth-centric policies. A primary objective of this state-wide campaign is to engage first-time voters and integrate them into the BJP’s organizational framework ahead of the civic polls.
